CW Blitz
A downloadable tool for Windows, macOS, and Linux
CW Blitz is a classic, minimalistic Morse code trainer based on the Koch method.
In the initial lessons, you learn to recognize all common Morse characters by their sound. Once you feel confident enough, you can take a test to complete the current lesson and move on to the next set of characters. Your progress will be automatically saved.
In later lessons—after you have demonstrated knowledge of all of the signals—the speed increases progressively until you can read Morse code like a pro. Additionally, the sequence of characters in the lessons is designed so, that you simultaneously practice touch-typing.
The program is coded in LUA, preliminary OS is Windows, but Linux and Mac should be definitely run also, because no special extern API or Windows-DLLs are necessary, but i ´d not tested it for myself, yet. Feedback would be appreciated.
The program is small as possible, so it doesn´t need expensive hardware and should work on nearly every system, no matter if high end computer or office system. There is no install required, just unzip and start, it´s totally portable. Also, it is absolutely free of advertising, there is no subscription, no mandatory online connection and no registration needed.
An Android version could be possible, if the interest is big enough.
